New Life Church is led by Judah Cole, working in partnership with his wife, Rachel, and Richard Anniss. Judah and Rachel are both recognised as evangelists. Richard works alongside Judah in the government of the church and provides oversight on behalf of Keri Jones. Keri is recognised as an apostle and works with a number of churches in the United Kingdom and around the world.
Judah grew up in Manchester and was part of King’s Church (the church from which New Life was planted) from an early age. Having spent a year out on a discipleship training course and then later at School of the Word, Judah returned to Manchester where he led the King’s Church youth group with his new wife, Rachel. Through these various experiences Judah grew in his leadership and evangelistic calling. He was thrilled to have the opportunity in March 2008 to lead such an amazing group of young men and women in planting New Life Church.
Judah has a passion for people to experience Jesus in a powerful way. He longs to see the church equipped to take the reality of Jesus to the World. His prayer is that the church would experience the glory of God in Jesus and carry it to the ends of the earth.
Judah and Rachel have a daughter; Sophia
Richard came to Manchester as a university student in 1993. He soon became a part of King’s Church and knew straight away that he had found where he belonged. It was in King’s Church that he met and married his wife, Judith. Having steadily grown in his gifting and calling, Richard was recognised as an elder and was then later asked to lead the eldership team. Richard and his family continue to be based in King’s Church in Manchester but they are also very much part of our church family here at New Life.
Richard has a God-given passion for the Kingdom of God. He longs to see a bold and powerful church proclaiming and demonstrating the presence and rule of God here on earth. Much of his preaching and teaching is on this subject.
Richard and Judith have three children; Luke, Josie and Nathan.
Rachel grew up in the midlands until the age of 18 when she moved to London to study music and theology at University. Following this she worked in South Africa and then in Stoke on Trent, where she worked with homeless people. This was the beginning of her passion to share the love and power of Jesus with such broken people, and see people of all ages and backgrounds restored by knowing Jesus for themselves. She then came to Manchester in 2001 to do an evangelistic training school with the Message Trust. Rachel then began her social work training at Salford University in 2002 and it was at this time that Rachel joined King’s Church and soon after met Judah who she married in 2004. They led the Youth together, and also helped to encourage the Church and equip them further in Evangelism. She now works alongside her husband in pioneering New life, and is so passionate to reach people from all across Salford and the world with the fantastic good news of Jesus. She is also a mother to Sophia.
We enjoy a fantastic relationship with a group of ministries who work together as ‘Ministries Without Borders’. We, along with other churches around the country and abroad, welcome the gifted input of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.
“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be
evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fulness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
In particular, we recognise Keri Jones as being given by God to carry apostolic
authority towards us as a church.
